Visa Requirements for International Applicants

• Guidance for International Students: International students on F-1 visas participating in NUPOC’s MPO and MPO-R programs must comply with U.S. federal regulations. Updated guidance for all Northwestern University international students can be found on the Office for International Student and Scholar Services (OISS) website. Information about Post-Graduation Residency: Optional Practical Training (OPT).

• Important Note on Residency Duration: The National Commission on Orthotic and Prosthetic Education (NCOPE) is transitioning to a combined 18-month residency format for certification in both orthotics and prosthetics. Read more about this change at ncope.org.
